POSTNATAL DEPRESSION: @REEANDMILAH
10 SIMPLE WAYS TO BE HEALTHIER
When the happiest time of your life just isn't...
What is postnatal depression? Postnatal depression is depression suffered by a mother following child birth. It typically arises from the combination of hormonal changes, psychological adjustment to motherhood and fatigue. 5 WEEKLY ME TIME MOMENTS
We are all searching for the quick fix, the easy way out especially when it comes to looking good and being "fit and healthy". Well I'm sorry I am here to tell you there is no quick fix - you need to work hard and stay dedicated to achieve your goals BUT I can tell you there are lots of little, simple and easy things you can do along the way to be a healthier version of yourself inside and out.
The "Mum Tum."
I'll be completely honest I have been running myself in to the ground lately, my anxiety has been higher than ever and I have not been feeling myself.
We are very busy, there's no question but aren't we all? People always ask me how I have my shit together with so much going on but truthfully sometimes I doubt that I do.
Self Love Sunday Super Hour!
The Mum Tum- the ins and outs of healthy digestive balance! We may have all seen the hash tag ‘#mumtum’ or even looked in the mirror and seen something that did not look like it did before babes. The mum tum is real, and it is beautiful. Inside that tummy we grew our babies. All of our organs and innards shifted to allow a tiny little human to develop. What we ate nourished that baby and for those 9 months (give or take) we were ‘ONE’.
Change is Growth!
We all know how important it is to take some "me time" to practice self love and self care but the reality is for most Mums and busy working women we are just so time poor and we are constantly putting our own needs on the back burner to prioritise others.
"COMPARISON IS THE THIEF OF JOY"
As you've noticed I have changed my blog name and Instagram name - I'm still here just under my own name!
I've always believed that change is growth and for me I felt that I had grown out of the name I had originally chosen for my blog.
When I first started my blogging journey I was unsure exactly of my path but knew I wanted to start a blog about fashion, fitness and mum life which is where the very simple name "The Fashionable Fit Mum" came from.
MY BATTLE WITH FOOD
I honestly believe this is true when it comes to pretty much every aspect of our lives but especially when it comes to motherhood.
Being a Mum for the first time is hard work, overwhelming and anxiety provoking . Yes, our babies are beautiful and we love them to death but it doesn't change the fact that they are hard work to deal with and to know what to do with at times.
FINDING SELF LOVE
noun: eating disorder; plural noun: eating disorders
any of a range of psychological disorders characterized by abnormal or disturbed eating habits (such as anorexia nervosa).
Something that many people do not know about me is that I suffer from a severe anxiety disorder - I have become very good and hiding it and most the time people mistake my anxiety for me being rude, shy or a plain old bitch. In a lot of social situations I tend to come across as quiet but most the time it is just because I am anxious and am afraid of judgement.
